What is your arrival and departure policy?

In order to ensure that we have appropriate staff-to-child ratios, please be sure to pick up your child according to his or her scheduled pick-up time. We charge a late fee for children dropped off early or picked up late, with a five-minute grace period and a dollar per minute thereafter. Also, please note that all parents must sign their children in and out every day, both electronically and manually in the child’s classroom. We are aware that this can be time-consuming, but ultimately it is for your child’s safety.

Do you have specific guidelines regarding hygiene?

Yes! Our preschoolers are our number-one priority, and we are adamant about keeping a healthy and clean environment for students and staff. We want every child to be comfortable while learning and enjoying activities with friends, and we teach our preschoolers how to keep classrooms clean, tidy their play spaces, and wash hands. We ask that you continue to reiterate these practices at home with your child. We want to protect all of our students from harmful germs that can spread and make others sick.

Does LSEDC provide meals or do I need to send one with my child?

At Little Scholars EDC, we’re proud to provide our preschoolers with a farm-fresh, organic breakfast, lunch, and snack daily. We offer this service through My Red Rabbit, a wonderful NYC-based organization that provides balanced, kid-approved meals for optimal nutrition.
